Winning in the game of life demands focused efforts,and our full attention,if we are to experience the personal growth needed for success.
Life is wonderful, challenging, many times unpredictable,and frequently baffling.
Too often we are faced with challenge after challenge that can leave us off center.
During these times we must know that what we are experiencing is just a part of life's rhythms,and each of us at some point in our lives experiences all of life:Its good,Its bad, and Its ugly.
It is especially important during each stage of life's rhythms to remember that it is merely a phase, and, like all phases,it too will end.
If the phase is one in which we are experiencing pain,we eagerly await its end,but when we are in the midst of joy or happiness, its ending leaves us sad.
Accepting the various stages of life as normal and needed,will help us to move through each phase more successfully,and we will begin to get more satisfaction out of the 'game of life',no matter what phase we are experiencing at any given time.
Just as we prepare to participate in a game or sport,so that we have fun,even when we lose,we must prepare ourselves for the game of life.
Doing so will help us to get more out of "The Game" regardless of the phase in which we find ourselves.
To grow during each phase of life's game,
we must pay close attention to the following:
1.Attitude: Having the right attitude will allow us to get the most growth out of any phase of life.
Remembering to be thankful, for the good we've experienced in the past, will help us to maintain the right perspective during that part of the game that is most challenging;
2.Focus:With the right focus or concentrated effort, we will be able to identify what we can do to help ourselves,to lessen the damage perhaps, during a particularly challenging stage of life.
Focusing on the problem will prolong the challenge;
3.Action: Once we have identified appropriate action to take,we must plunge ahead quickly and decisively;
4.Discipline:Exercising discipline during the game of life is vital in all phases.
It is during both good and bad challenges that we are most tempted to slack off,because during the good times,we clearly see the goal;the tendency is to relax,slow down, and during the more challenging times,the goal appears to be no where in view,and as a result,we can become discouraged which can also cause us to lose momentum.
As we consider the many phases of 'life's game',we must remember that no phase lasts forever. Eventually,the challenge is replaced with a triumph,and the triumph is replaced with a challenge.
It is important to remember that all phases,the good,the bad, and the ugly, are natural,and necessary parts of 'The Game of Life.'
