Frequent use of negative words hinders our self- growth,personal development, and delay,if not destroy,our goals and dreams.
In last week's post,I shared with you five words whose frequent use often hinders personal developmemnt and self-growth because of their negative denotations or meanings.
Since our words become our thoughts,it was suggested that the words Maybe,Soon,Later,Never and Can't,be eliminated from the vocabulary because of their negative impact on our thoughts and actions.

Deleting the above words from our vocabulary,or restricting their use significantly,should help us to reach our goals more quickly,but they are not the only words we should eliminate.
Following are five more 'dream snatchers'
that should also be deleted:

But:This word is often used as a conjunction,and it generally implies doubt or uncertainty as to a course of action as in this example:I want to study medicine,but;

Won't: The word won't implies an unwillingness, reluctance,or closed mindedness,and like 'never,'it is quite harmful to personal development and self-growth;

If: This small word carries big doubts or uncertainties,and when used often,it gnaws away confidence and action,two things necessary for any type of success;

I'll Try: I don't know about you,but each time someone has said these words to me,or when I have used them in conversations with others,whatever was the topic of "I'll try",never got done;

Someday: This word, like 'soon'is too indefinite,and when it is used,it,like the use of 'soon',shows a lack of commitment.

These words, along with the ones highlighted in last week's blog,should be given serious thought before they are used in our "self talk" or in conversations we have with others about our plans,hopes and dreams.

None of us ,I believe,doubts the powerful effect our words have on our thoughts,our actions,our realities,and because of their power,they should be chosen with the greatest care.
Are there words you would like to add to the lists?
